Use a Multimeter to ensure the wall socket is properly grounded.

🚨 Do not insert ANYTHING into the wall socket openings directly. This can cause DEATH. 🚨

✅ Plug the Adapter In

Insert the EarthLink Adapter into a wall socket.

✅ Connect Your Grounding Cord

Plug the cord from your grounding product (e.g., bed sheet or mat) into the adapter.

✅ Attach the Black Cord

Plug the multimeter's black cord (from COM connection) into the adapter opening next to the grounding sheet cord. Switch the multimeter to AC voltage scale to 200V.

✅ Check Your Tester

Ensure the red cord is plugged into the Voltage outlet of the multimeter. With your one hand touch the Red cord's probe of your multimeter. This should give you a small voltage reading. (Some brands might not be able to measure such low Voltage) Now touch the grounding sheet while still holding the red cord's probe and the voltage will drop to zero on the display. Your outlet works perfectly.
